At the FAMILY HISTORY SHOP we offer the following RESEARCH SERVICES:

CERTIFICATES FOR BIRTHS, MARRIAGES AND DEATHS
from THE GENERAL REGISTER OFFICE, LONDON

These are available for £9.00 (US$18) each if full reference is known; 50p (80 cents) extra for a reference check.

We can also carry out searches at a charge of 50p (80 cents) per year for births and deaths, 75p (US$1.20) per year for marriages.
Please send £8.50 (US$14), plus the appropriate amount for the number of years you wish to have searched, for each certificate.
£6.50 (US$10.75) refund if not found.

ENGLISH AND WELSH CENSUSES (1841, 1851, 1861, 1871, 1881, 1891, 1901)
1881 CENSUS FOR SCOTLAND

If you know the name and full reference for an entry in any census (e.g. Wilkins, 1881 Census RG11/1234 p12 fol 13), and you wish to see the complete original entry, we will print it out for you at a charge of £3.00 (US$4.95) each. There are numerous census indexes available which give only name and reference; this service then makes the entire entry available to you.

We can also print out a census for a village at a cost of £5 (US$8.25) per village, plus 25p (40 cents) per sheet, plus postage (variable).

WILLS (ENGLAND AND WALES) 1858 - 2002

If the year of death is known these can be supplied at a cost of £8 (US$13.20) each.
Note: includes some wills from Scotland and Ireland.

PREROGATIVE COURT OF CANTERBURY WILLS BEFORE 1858

£6 (US$9.90) per will with a search of 2 years.
Note: includes some wills from Scotland and Ireland as well as England and Wales.

BRITISH MILITIA DOCUMENTS - WO96 CLASS

£7 (US$11.55) per document and £3.50 (US$5.80) per additional document in the same box.

BRITISH WORLD WAR 1 DOCUMENTS

We can supply a list of the surname you are doing for £8.50 (US$14.00) per A4 sheet.

£10 (US$16.50) for a search for a specific person;
£10 (US$16.50) per document.

RESEARCH IN LONDON ARCHIVES

£17.50 (US$28.90) per hour plus cost of photocopying etc.

LOCAL RESEARCH (NORFOLK)

£15 (US$24.75) per hour plus cost of photocopying etc.

RESEARCH IN CD-ROMS HELD IN THE FAMILY HISTORY LIBRARY

£2.00 (US$3.30) per surname per index + cost of printouts at 15p (US$0.25) per sheet.
