The Family History Shop was established in February 1992 by Jenifer Edmonds, and the Local History & Genealogy Library was set up in May of the same year. The shop was set up after seeing a need for a Family History presence on the high street. A further aim was to provide a service to guide people in their Family History research. We are an independent self-supporting business and we are always looking for new ideas.
In the shop we have for sale, Books, Microfiche, 3.5" Diskettes, CD-Roms, Pedigree Charts, Maps and other articles. We also publish Books, 3.5" Diskettes, CD-Roms and Microfiche.
The Library is at present closed to visitors, but printouts from CD-Roms may be ordered.
We also offer a Courier Service for birth, marriage and death certificates, and a genealogical Research Service. We welcome telephone and postal enquiries, or personal callers.
